Making a skirt isn’t as straight forward as you think. This workshop will give you an opportunity to learn how to insert a waistband, sew pockets and create buttonholes. Waistband, pockets and button holes. There is lots to learn during this class. The pattern can be made in sizes 8 to 22. The skirts can be made in 2 different length options and can be adapted to make a unique garment.
THIS COURSE WILL COVER
Suitable for confident beginners, the class will cover:
· How to cut your fabric and make all necessary markings.
· How to cut fabric pieces using paper pattern pieces.
· How to construct pockets.
· How to sew a neat even row of buttonholes.
· How to stitch in the ditch whilst inserting a waistband.
WHO IS THIS CLASS FOR?
This class is suitable for confident beginners. Anyone who can use a sewing machine and would like to improve and learn new techniques.
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:
You will need to bring fabric suitable for making your skirt.

All classes take place in our studio space in Sheffield. We are on the main bus route along Abbeydale road.
We have a dedicated workshop space. We are located within The Old Coach House building. Access is via a flight of stair. Unfortunately we aren’t accessible to wheelchairs or pushchairs.
The studio has 8 Brother sewing machines, 4 Brother overlockers and all the sewing equipment you need for your sewing projects. We have a fully equipped kitchen and toilet.
