This workshop will help you navigate sewing stretch fabric. T-shirts are a great starter project to add to your me made wardrobe. You will get to choose from two different styles of T-shirt which will suit all shapes, sizes and styles! Choose from boxy fit or a more classic fitted t-shirt.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
Handle sewing stretch fabric.
Learn how to use an Overlocker or machine stretch stitch to construct stretch garments.
Learn to sew cuffing neckbands.
How to finish hems to complete a garment.
Skills needed to take this class…if you know how to use a sewing machine it would be favourable. The class is designed for beginners to sewing stretch fabric.
Materials and equipment required:
You will need to bring with you enough jersey fabric and cuffing fabric to make your tshirt. Information with regards to fabric will be sent out before the workshop.
CRAFT have 4 overlockers that we provide if needed.
