Understanding Fabric and Why It Matters
This masterclass will guild you through the complexities of fabric construction and characteristics.
You will be shown how to recognise different fabric types, understand what you can use them for and how to choose the right fabric for the sewing project. Understand sewing pattern fabric requirements.
We won't be making anything in this workshop but it will help you with all your future sewing projects.
All materials are included, you will leave with the start of a fabric sample swatch kit and a new found knowledge of textiles.

All classes take place in our studio space in Sheffield. We are on the main bus route along Abbeydale road.
We have a dedicated workshop space. We are located within The Old Coach House building. Access is via a flight of stair. Unfortunately we aren’t accessible to wheelchairs or pushchairs.
The studio has 8 Brother sewing machines, 4 Brother overlockers and all the sewing equipment you need for your sewing projects. We have a fully equipped kitchen and toilet.
